Broadheath Primary L-R: Kim Burns, Ava Burns, Claire Fox, Thomas Gadd, James Gadd and Sarah Thomason
Three mums and their children from Broadheath Primary School bravely battled against the elements, hailstone and driving rain, to complete the Gung Ho 5K at Heaton Park on the 30th April.

Kim Burns with her daughter Ava, Claire Fox with her sons James and Thomas and Sarah Thomason gave it their all to complete the course which they described as a huge challenge, with parts verging on the dangerous due to the weather! The course is a 5K run full of giant inflatable obstacles to either go under, over or through the best way you can. Our super hero parents were not defeated!
The aim was to raise money to update the school library with new shelving and books. The group set themselves the high target of raising £5K. With donations so far totalling approximately £600 there is still a way to go but who knows what could happen next on the fund raising journey.
