We can’t think of a better cause than St Ann’s Hospice so please come along to Bowdon Cricket Club and help support this worthwhile charity.

About St Ann’s Hospice:

The Hospice is the largest provider of care for people with cancer and non cancer life limiting illnesses. They help around 3,000 patients over the age of 16 every year and have been doing so for the past 40 years. Up to 40% of these are in patients who return home after their treatment.

Guests will be treated to a fantastic day of cricketing entertainment both on and off the pitch at the picturesque Bowdon Cricket Club on Thursday, August 11.

Former England player and selector Geoff Miller OBE,  (above), is guest speaker at a three-course lunch in a marquee with a private viewing area where guests can watch Lancashire’s 2nd XI play Leicestershire in a one-day game.

Screens will also show the Test match between England and Pakistan at the Kia Oval. Events in the City is organising the VIP day in aid of St Ann’s Hospice.

Tickets are £70, or £650 for a table of 10, and the day runs from 10.30 am until close of play. The event is sponsored by Tesla Motors.

Steve Kettle, Director at Events in the City, said: “It’s going to be a great day out at one of Cheshire’s most prestigious cricket grounds. Geoff Miller is one of the best after-dinner speakers on the circuit and we’re raising money for St Ann’s Hospice which does amazing work for the community.”
