We have received word that the Islamic Community Centre application for Thorley Lane has been withdrawn. Apparently on the Wednesday January the 11th 2017.
This is a huge relief for all of the people who opposed the plan and we are genuinely happy that the matter has now finally been dropped.
Well done to all of the people who campaigned on the ethical grounds of the destruction of the Greenbelt!
There is no guarantee that a further application won’t be made but a lot of people can breathe a sigh of relief for now!
